Northern Irish pagan metal outfit Waylander kick off a string of European shows tonight in Warsaw, Poland.
Tour Dates
17/04/13 – Warsaw, Poland
18/04/13 – Lodz, Poland
19/04/13 – Blackland Club – Berlin, Germany
20/04/14 – Fenris Club – Klein Pochlarn, Austria
21/04/13 – Blue Hell Club – Budapest, Hungary
This tour takes the band to lands previously unexplored such as Poland, Austria and Hungary. ArdChieftain earlier commented on the tour, “There is no better feeling than playing new places, making new friends and sampling new cultures, so finally visiting Poland, Austria and Hungary is something we are very excited about, and are equally as pleased to be returning to Berlin, where we get the chance this time to play a full length set.
We would have been pleased with just one Polish gig but to have two is a huge bonus. We get to, not only visit Warsaw, but also Lodz and we are really looking forward to experiencing the notoriously crazy Polish Metal audiences.
After having several aborted attempts to play in Austria over the years, we finally get the chance with a show in Klein Pochlarn. We hope our Austrian fans enjoy our performance.
None of us has visited Hungary before, so to be able to play in such a beautiful and historic city as Budapest has got our collective pulse racing. We have heard nothing but praise for the Pagan/Folk Metal scene in Hungary so it will be amazing to experience it for ourselves.”
‘Kindred Spirits’ was released on July 16th and August 14th in North America 2012 via Listenable Records and has gained worldwide acclaim. Dubbed “A proper fucking metal album!” by Metal Hammer and “A beautiful, inspirational and often stunning album” by Sonic Abuse.
