Shardborne – Guitar and Bass – Second Studio Report From The ‘Living Bridges’ Recordings!

Shardborne 2015

The release of their very first studio diary last week, gave insights into the drum recording process behind Shardborne’s upcoming album Living Bridges taking the Irish prog metallers to the somewhat unconventional location of a deconsecrated former Franciscan Church. The Limerick City natives now release their second and final studio diary video showing the recording of the bass and guitars in guitarist Ciaran Culhane’s home studio.

Living Bridges, recorded entirely by Shardborne’s Ciaran Culhane and Ben Wanders, went on to be mixed and mastered at The Basement Recording Studios in North Carolina under the experienced eye of Jamie King. The band comments on working with the renowned producer, “We made a short list of engineers that we had in mind to mix the album, and after talking to a few we decided to ask Jamie King if he would do it. We love the work he had done for bands such as Between the Buried and Me and Scale the Summit, and he seemed like a perfect fit. We were thrilled with how it came out and with the work he did.”
