At The Gates Announce First Ever Irish Show, Bloodshot Dawn To Support

At The Gates

Earlier this year Swedish melodic death metal pioneers At The Gates hit the headlines after confirming that they had signed a deal with Century Media and would begin work on a brand new album. News spread like wildfire as ‘At War With Reality’ was announced as the title for the forthcoming record with recording beginning in June/July and a tentative release in October/November 2014. ‘At War With Reality’ will be the first new release from At The Gates in 19 years and follows the highly regarded ‘Slaughter Of The Soul’ album which was released in 1995.

Today we can announce that At The Gates have been confirmed for their very first ever Irish show on 31st January 2015 at The Academy, Dublin and will be supported by UK extreme metallers Bloodshot Dawn.

Bloodshot Dawn vocalist/guitarist Josh McMorran comments: “Bloodshot Dawn could not be happier to return to Dublin and play our biggest club show to date! Not to mention supporting a pioneer of our musical direction, At The fucking Gates!!! We are going to bring a set of new songs from album 2 and this will be our first Dublin show with our new master blaster Janne Jaloma! See you in the pit!”

Bloodshot Dawn recently launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund their as of yet untitled second album, a target that was smashed in only 4 days! The band have since announced that the album, which is slated for release October 2014, will contain a host of special guests including Sven De Caluwé (Aborted), Chris Amott (ex-Arch Enemy, Armageddon), Per Nilsson (Scar Symmetry), Teemu Mäntysaari (Wintersun) & Andy James (ex-Sacred Mother Tongue. Producer Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Amaranthe, Persefone, Aborted, Xerath, Dyscarnate etc.) has also been announced as the man behind the desk who will be mixing and mastering the album.
