Aghast! Collaborate With D&B / Dubstep Label Abducted Records On New EP!
Entitled Something Else; Something Rotten, UK metal outfit Aghast! have made a long awaited follow up to their acclaimed debut full length album All The Rage. With three hook laden Aghast! tunes, not only have they produced a quite simply brilliant new EP, the band have also teamed up with US based D&B and dubstep label Abducted Records to see the addition of five remixes.
Bassist Daniel Henderson comments, “We’re really excited to finally release our latest EP and share with everyone the progress we’ve made since All The Rage. We’re even more excited to be collaborating with the good people at Abducted Records to bring something fresh and new to the table. We hope people enjoy Something Else; Something Rotten.”
Abducted Records label manager Dorian Whitcomb spoke of the collaboration, “Coming from a heavy metal background, this project encompasses all the sounds and styles that I love all in one piece of work. I knew from the first second I heard Aghast! that this project would be a hit, and I think that both the originals as well as the remixes will blow people away. It is my hope that we can continue this platform to bridge the gap between heavy live music, and heavy electronic music and spearhead what I feel is the next great trend in music.”
Hailing from London, Aghast! combine the blasting fury of death metal, sickening speed of thrash with a dose of grindcore and an undeniable ear for melody. Three self-released EPs, a full length and years of touring and appearing on festival stages have seen the band develop into a supremely inventive, technically proficient and endlessly entertaining live act.
Like the band’s debut full length Something Else; Something Rotten was produced by Derya ‘Dez’ Nagle of Playgle Productions. Artwork was done by Joaquin Ardiles.
